For more information on the “Four Seasons Orchestra” go to: www.fourseasonsorchestra.org/ Samuel and Laura Fogleman to host inaugural DuoWest “Artifacts” Fundraiser DuoWest is proud to announce its first ever gala fundraiser at the Scottsdale residence of Samuel and Laura Fogleman who have graciously opened their home to DuoWest for this special event to raise funds for the commissioning of “Artifacts.” DuoWest has combined forces with internationally renowned and celebrated vocal composer Craig Bohmler, and award-winning lyricist Marion Adler to create a new work (song cycle) for soprano, cello and piano that musically evokes the mystery and disappearance of the great Hohokam civilization. Many of us are familiar with news reports of the discovery of Hohokam artifacts while the light rail was being excavated. This new composition, slated for its World Premiere in April 2009 is being partially supported in part by the Argosy Foundation, the Arizona Commission on the Arts in conjunction with National Endowment for the Arts and also your individual and corporate donations. Look for your invitation in the mail to this one-of-a-kind benefit concert complimented by gourmet light fare, distinctive wines, dessert, and coffee. This will be a unique and memorable evening not to be missed.
